VIP Luxury Limousines won't open for another two and a half weeks, but the company is already getting involved in the community. During the last week of October, VIP drivers will be providing an extra incentive for North Idaho women to get screened for breast cancer by chauffeuring women to their appointments in a pink stretch Hummer limo.

“It's kind of cool to be able to help out the community,” said VIP Luxury Limousine owner Matt Nevarez. “Now we actually have something we can do.”

It's only been a couple of weeks since Nevarez decided to open a limousine service, and he was inspired to offer breast cancer screening rides when he saw the pink Hummer for sale. Nevarez opened Liberty Crude Oil, an oil transport service in Texas and Oklahoma, two years ago and has been looking for a more local business for a while. When he saw the pink limo for sale he knew he had found his next business venture.

“I thought that'd be cool, we don't have anything like that up here,” said Nevarez. “I just saw it as an opportunity to help out.”

VIP Luxury Limousines will be using the pink limo to take women to breast cancer screenings and treatments for free during the last week of October. Nevarez said the company will provide as many rides as they possibly can, whether that be for an individual woman or group of ladies making an event out the important exam.

“It brings a little light to the situation,” said VIP secretary Lindsey Winkelseth.

The screening rides aren't the only way that VIP is getting involved in the North Idaho community. Nevarez is working with S.O.A.R.I.N.G., Special Opportunities Affirm Recognition in Noteworthy Goals, a program that works with kids to set positive goals that address behavioral issues and to reduce stress factors in the family like cancer.

Nevarez saw the group at their graduation ceremony at the Coeur d'Alene Airport where students who reach their goals are rewarded with a limo and airplane ride. He immediately wanted to get involved and his new company will be providing limo rides in the future.

VIP Luxury Limousines will officially launch on October 25th with three limos, the pink Hummer, a black Hummer and a more traditional white limo. Until then, women can book their stylish ride to the doctor by calling (208) 777-LIMO (5466). For more information on VIP Luxury Limousine visit their Facebook page.
